Restoration Phase II: The South Terrace
Graycliff's south terrace was hidden for over 45 years by an alteration made by the Piarist Fathers, who owned the property for that period. They combined the south terrace and the adjacent sunken garden into covered space to create a chapel for their use. The Fathers replaced the Wright-designed terrace doors but saved the originals by using them as windows for the chapel, thus preserving them for restoration.
