Graycliff Restoration Phase II: Porte Cochere

Work on the restoration of the porte cochere was completed in late 2002. The work was performed ahead of the full exterior restoration of the main house with the intention of improving visitors' access to the house during the larger restoration project. This project included restoration of the red stained cedar shingles on its roof, additional ventilation to reduce ice damage, restoration of the main entry door and sidelights and lead paint remediation as well as painting the trim in original colors.
