A critical collection of Wright properties

"Frank Lloyd Wright Field Guide" by Thomas A. Heinz has just been published by Northwestern University Press. This 528-page guide to Wright properties in the U.S. and around the world gives both the Martin House and Graycliff five stars, the highest rating.
These are the Wright properties in the area:
• Darwin Martin House, 125 Jewett Parkway, built 1903-05 although workmen did not leave until 1907; restoration on-going. A Visitor Center will be built adjacent to property. Tours year-round.
• George Barton House, built 1903, part of Martin House Complex.
• Martin House Pergola, built 1903-05, demolished 1962, being rebuilt 2007.
• Martin House Conservatory, built 1903-05, demolished 1962, being rebuilt 2007.
• Martin House Carriage House, built 1903-05, demolished 1962, rebuilt 2007.
• Martin House Gardener's Cottage, built 1908, now part of Martin House Complex.
• Blue Sky Mausoleum, Forest Lawn Cemetery, designed 1928, built 2004. Open daily.
• Graycliff, 6472 Old Lake Shore Road, Derby, built 1927 as the Martins' summer home, restoration on-going. Much work has been completed. Tours April-November.
• Walter V. Davidson House, Tillinghast Place, built 1912, privately owned.
• William R. Heath House, Bird Avenue, built 1905, privately owned.
• Buffalo Filling Station by Frank Lloyd Wright at Buffalo Transportation Pierce Arrow Museum, 263 Michigan Ave. - plans call for building and completion by 2007 when promised funding is released by Gov. George E. Pataki.
• Charles and Marie Fontana Boathouse by Frank Lloyd Wright at West Side Rowing Club, foot of Porter Avenue - plans call for construction to begin this year and completion 14 months later once promised funding is released by Gov. Pataki.
• Larkin Co. Administration Building, 680 Seneca St., built 1904-06, demolished 1949-50. An historic marker and remnant of a wall remain.
