The Graycliff China by Niagara Ceramics
The Graycliff China Pattern is a Frank Lloyd Wright inspired design created exclusively for Graycliff by Michelle Latoszek, Designer for Niagara Ceramics LLC, the current owner of the Buffalo Pottery Trademark. Buffalo Pottery was founded in 1901 by Darwin Martin and his fellow executives of The Larkin Soap Company, Inc. to produce china to be used for Larkin premiums. In the past, The Larkin Soap Company had been importing china and decided to manufacture their own dishwear to be used for premiums. Graycliff Dinnerware is proudly made in Buffalo, New York. The pattern integrates the diamond shape used in the window above the porte cochere, the light fixtures in the main house, the garage door of the Foster House and the pillars supporting the porte cochere. These elements are presented in the Cherokee Red of the roofs and the Moss Green of the horizontal trim. |
